In this work, I expanded on my small orchid studies, giving this Green Veil orchid a large stage against a background ripe with my own memories. The fabric pattern comes from the bedsheets I had as a young child, a now vintage polyester set I searched for and found on Etsy. I can heard the box fan and feel the humidity (we didn’t have A/C) of my South Florida bedroom.
